42, was born on August 24, 1967 in Indianapolis, IN and was a resident of Florida since 1994. He was residing at the Horizon Healthcare facility in Daytona Beach, FL since the end of 2009 and lived with his father prior to that time. He passed away on May 7, 2010 after a long illness. He was hearing impaired, graduated from John Marshall High School in 1986 and enjoyed bowling and traveling. James is preceded in death by his mother Yvonne Valentine Utter. He is survived by his father Edward (Sue) Utter of Port Orange, FL, brothers: Mark (Kathy), Dan (Lisa) Utter of Indianapolis, sisters: Elaine (Patrick) McDowell of Greenfield, IN, Joni (Matthew) Anderson of St. Leonard, MD and 11 nieces and nephews. A Celebration of James life will be Saturday May 22 at 2 PM at the Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary with the family receiving friends from 12 till service time. Private entombment will be at Washington Park East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in James name to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Fl 32129.
