

83, of Indianapolis passed away September 4, 2015. He was the beloved son of Anna McHugh Wade and James D. Wade, Sr. and loving husband of Margaret Duffy Wade who preceded him in death. Jim is survived by his sister: Sister Rita Ann Wade, S.P.; his brother: Joseph P. Wade; and a sister-in law: Sister Marikay Duffy, S.P. Jim graduated from Saint Joan of Arc Grade School and Cathedral High School. He was active in drama clubs and performed in a number of productions. Jim was employed by American Fletcher National Bank, then at Link Belt-FMC. Jim was noted for being a loyal and hardworking employee. After retiring he volunteered at Community North Hospital. The famous saying, “To know him is to love him” applied to Jim. He was a very hospitable person who loved to entertain his family and friends. He had an unusual ability to make others feel welcomed and comfortable. He loved his Irish heritage and always celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in grand style. Jim was a devoted son, loving husband and a generous and caring brother. He was a charming person who will be greatly missed by those who love him. The family would like to thank Kathy Fleming, his friend and caregiver, for her devoted care of Jim during his illness. Also they are appreciative of Jim’s friends and neighbors who continued to visit him during his illness. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 8th, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm in Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, September 9th, 11:00 am in St. Pius X Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made the Sisters of Providence of St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana.
