Jane Hancock

Jane Hancock passed peacefully the morning of November 14, 2018 to be with her husband, Bill, and son, Gregory, who preceded her in death. Jane was born March 5, 1934 to Richard and Mona Brommert. Surviving are daughter Sarajane (Jim) Cavanaugh, Paul (Monti) Hancock and grandsons Kyle and Kory Cavanaugh.

Jane was a 1952 graduate of Broad Ripple High School and William Woods University in Missouri.

Jane was a kind, gentle, gracious woman who enjoyed being around her family and friends, both in Indianapolis where the Hancock's resided until 1992, and also in her beloved Leland, MI where Bill and Jane spent retirement. Jane was a member of Zionsville Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis. She so enjoyed afternoons spent on the side deck in Leland, where everyone was always welcome, sharing stories of special moments and times.

The family would like to express gratitude to all those who touched Jane's life and made it so fulfilling and all the caregivers who aided Jane in her residences in the later stages of life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Leelanau Conservancy, which preserves the area that Jane so loved and enjoyed, or Share Care which provided her with services so that she could reside in Leland in her later years.
