Jan, as she was known, was born on March 8th, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Ralph and Bernice Farley. She married William H. Roberts in 1952. Jan was a graduate of Speedway High School, attended Indiana University.
Jan worked at Speedway Library, was a member of Speedway Musicale, active in Girls Scouts. She was a long time member of Chapel Rock Christian Church and served her Lord there in music and drama, and taught Sunday School for many years.
Jan is survived by children Kathy (Dan) Follas; Janie (Mark, deceased) Fulton; and Mark Roberts, grandchildren David (Jen) Follas; Emily Follas (Timothy Jacob); Jonathan Follas (Katie Selzler); Caleb Fulton; Abigail (Zachary) Caress. Great-grandchildren Charles, Peter, Lydia, Paul, Isaac, Ezekiel, Elias and Scarlett. Jan was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Bill.
Music was her passion and she blessed many by it. She was a great cook and loved books. She loved and served her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, modeling a life of faith. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew her.
A visitation for Jan will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, Gothic Chapel, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM.
