Jimmie Dale Reuss, age 85, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022. Jimmie was born September 3, 1937 in Petersburg, Indiana the son of Elbert and Naomi (Leighty) Reuss. He graduated from Washington High School the class of 1955 and retired from Olin Brass formerly Bridgeport Brass where he was a machinist. He was a longtime member of Salem Park Church. Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Dixie Marchbanks.
Jimmie is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alice (Summitt) Reuss; his daughters, Julie Sharkey of Indianapolis, Loretta Brandon of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Jamie Lewis and her husband Jeff of Lebanon, Indiana; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 nieces.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at Family Funeral Care. Burial will be in Union Lutheran Cemetery in Whitestown, Indiana.
