Mom was born in Fishers, In. and raised by her beloved grandma, Ida Flannigan.
She had a brother, Don Buck and learned later in her teens she had 2 sisters, Betty Harlan & Dee Sylvester. Once united, the 4 of them made up for lost time and stayed close until their deaths.
She married the love of her life, Roy Stocklin, on November 20, 1946, he proceeded her in death on July 10, 2001. They had 3 children Becky (Gary Sloan), Mark Stocklin (Bonnie), & Debbie (Paul Lamping).
Mom was a bookkeeper for several years in the auto parts industry. After her first grandchild was born, she retired to help raise him and the many that were to follow. She lived out the rest of her days taking care of all of us.
She is survived by the 3 of us named above, her grandchildren-Dusty Sloan (Jenny), Chad Sloan (Amy), Jeff Lotshaw (Ruth), Sean Baugh (Leslie), Emmie (Brad Darland), Aaron Kruse (Jill). She was known as “Sassy” (makes sense if you knew her) to her great-grandchildren-Olivianah, Grace, Addy, Carly, Estelleh, Aden, Martin, Ellie, Eli, Tye, Piper, Aubrey, Charlie Mae, and Paige. Numerous nieces & nephews, step-grandchildren, & even step great grandchildren.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at Little and Sons on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, from 4-6 PM-Service following at 6:00 PM
She was a strong woman who loved her family beyond measure. We will miss her for all our days. Good thing Jesus knew she was coming, for I’m sure she has taken control of the Kingdom (for a bit)!
