

John Mark Brosius passed away Thursday, 2/17/2022 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis after a long illness. Mark was born on 2/10/1957 in Indianapolis. IN to John M. Brosius and Jeannette (Flynn) Brosius. He was the 3rd oldest of 10 children.
Mark was a small business entrepreneur throughout most of his career. He worked as a financial planner, flipped houses and owned a small painting business to name a few. He loved to learn new things, fix cars, read, play guitar, sing karaoke, research family genealogy, practice photography and most importantly be with his family. He was known for his sense of humor and his good natured teasing. Before the pandemic, he loved to spend time at his favorite spots, drinking coffee or singing karaoke and shooting the breeze with whomever joined him at the table. He was a peaceful soul and didn’t hold grudges against those who slighted him, no matter how painful.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved son, Brian Brosius and his nephew, Joshua. He is survived by his beloved children Mary (Brosius) Arnold, John (Brosius) Caviness, Aly B Caviness as well as his grandchildren: Jacob Noel, Derrick Rivera, Isiah and Kylie Harvey; Jadynn and Brooklynn Brosius and; Luke (Caviness) all of whom he adored.
He is also survived by his 9 siblings: Leanne, Karen, Donna, Rose, Bruce, Paul, Bill, JJ ( Mike), and Christine as well nieces and nephews: Kevin & Christopher Fry; Audi, April & Courtney McCullough; Jessica Pogue & Cory Brosius; Arthur & Kai (Athena) Brosius; Evie Brosius & Erin Flynn and multiple in laws, great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He will be dearly missed by those who loved him. Rest In Peace.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 to 4 PM (Eulogies at 2 PM) Sunday, May 1st at Holiday Park Pavilion, 6363 Spring Mill Road, Indianapolis, southeast end by the playground. All are welcome.
In keeping with Mark’s love of outdoor family gatherings this will be a potluck meal(bring a dish).
