John Benton Ford passed away from this life on January 7th. John was born in Willow Grove Tennessee on October 31, 1938. John and his wife, Pearl, owned John’s Barber and Beauty Shop on east 10th Street in Indianapolis for many years. John was preceded in death by his wife Flora Pearl Smith Ford; his parents Joe Denver Ford and Pearl Holeman Ford; his sisters and their husbands Lorene and Ruel Wheat, Willie and Johnnie Jordan, Juanita and Gene Cox, Olene and Don Hall, and a nephew Allen Wheat. John is survived by nephews; Joe (Brenda) Wheat of Danville Indiana, Alan Hall of Indianapolis Indiana, and James (Naomi) Jordan of Fountain Run Kentucky, and nieces Patty Cornwell of Bowling Green Kentucky, Peggy (Charles) Goodman of Glasgow Kentucky, Sue (Steve) Petty of Indianapolis Indiana, and Rhonda (Eugene) Coxson of Los Banos California.
A service will be held at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 N. Shadeland Ave. Indianapolis, IN on Monday January 13, at 11 a.m. and the burial will be at Anderson Cemetery on Tenth Street in Indianapolis.
