was Awesome. Just ask him- he would tell you so. Pete was the life of the party and the star of the show. He had a smile that lit up a room and a voice that demanded attention from all who heard it. He had a way of bringing laughter into the darkest places and was positive that he was the funniest man you would ever meet. And if you didn't think he was funny, then you at least thought he was cute. Pete was a graduate from Howe High and a founding father of Sigma Nu Fraternity at Ball State. He worked in the car business for over 30 years and dedicated much of his time to providing for his family. He loved anything to do with sports and could often be found watching or listening to the Indianapolis Colts games or listening to sports talk radio. He had a heart for traveling and loved the outdoors, the water, and spending time at Star Lake. Pete liked everything from spending a day on the golf course to spending a day in his front porch chair. To him, life wasn't about where you went, but who you went with. Above all of the hobbies and interests that he had- the most important was his family. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Tina; his daughter, Katie (Ryan) Barker; his sons, Phil (Hillary) and Bryan (Abby) Hiatt; his grandchildren, Mason, Molly, Avery, Drew, Maddy and Russell; his sister, Karen (Dave) Kaser; his step brother and sister, Dr. John V. Peterson and Sonata Abbott; his brother and sister-in-law, Terry Fuller and Neil (Tracy) Miller; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 4pm until the time of service at 7pm at Little and Sons Stop 11 Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American cancer society.
