John was born on October 7, 1951 to John and Jessie Roederer in Louisville Kentucky. He spent his childhood on the baseball fields of Henderson Kentucky and was a graduate from the University of Kentucky. John went on to work for the Office of Comptroller of the Currency for 20 years and remained in the banking and investment industry up until his passing (Salin Bank and CINCaP).
Those that knew John will remember him as an avid golfer, a lifelong UK basketball fan, and a storyteller that could command a room with his infectious laugh.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan Roederer; son, Chris Roederer; daughter, Beth Roederer; sister, Susan Moore; brother, Paul Roederer (Leslie).
Family, friends, and others are invited to the Celebration of a life at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary (2126 E. 71st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46220) on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 9:30 AM – 11 AM with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM to reminisce and honor the life of John William Roederer.
