

John William White, Jr. was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Mr. John William White, Sr., and Mrs. Marilyn Horton White on September 7, 1950. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. He attended public school at #43 James Whitcomb Riley, graduated from Shortridge High School and Ball State University where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. “The 17 Spartans”.
In addition to pursing his degree, John was also the first Black Student President at Ball State University, and he was selected and received a nationally recognized award from Who’s Who Among Students at American Universities and Colleges. He was also a member of the National Honor Society in high school. John was not only an excellent student but a great athlete where he played with Shortridge High School basketball team, state runner up in 1968; he also was the first chair clarinet player in the orchestra and participated in the high school marching band.
John began his professional career as a branch manager with Morris Plan then he took his talents to Chase Bank as Vice President of commercial lending. During his professional career, he received the designation of Certified Financial Planner which permitted him to assist notable clients as a financial advisor.
John is preceded in death by his parents Mr. John William White, Sr., and Mrs. Marilyn Horton White.
John is survived by his daughter Ashley Randolph (Joshua Randolph); grandchildren John and Joshua Randolph; his brother Gregory White; his uncle Carl Horton; a host of cousins and devoted friends.
Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00pm on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Crown Hill Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Crown Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Peter Finton of First Samuel Church Wholistic Ministries officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crown Hill Funeral Home.
