

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Jean Krouse, Mary Ann Williams and brother Paul John Burch Jr.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Donna (James) Burch, daughters Madonna Carroll (Brian), Mattie Boyce (Pat), Jean Jacquay (Kirk) and son, Joseph "Joe" Burch Jr. (Angela Williams), and brother, Robert Burch.
Joe was a devoted grandfather to nine grandchildren, Emily Boyce (Veronica Martinez), Joel Burch (Grace), Nick Boyce (Emily Follstad), Arden Burch (Joe Sullivan), Malorie O’Connor (Markus), Erin Gordon (Patrick), Allyson Carroll (Rourke), Noah Boyce, Delaney Mark (Luke) and two great grandchildren, Oliver O’Connor and Padriag Sullivan.
Joe attended Holy Name Grade School and graduated from St. Catherine’s Grade School. He graduated from Cathedral High School then attended two years at Indiana University before entering the Army. He retired from Noble Industries as a production manager.
For over 65 years, Joe was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church. His faith was his beacon, and the church community was like family. He was a familiar face at most church functions. He made a positive impact on many young people over the years. He enjoyed coaching at Haverford Little League and was president there for three years. He was an avid supporter of Bishop Chatard High School and rarely missed a grandchild’s event. As an avid golfer, he loved playing with friends and family. He also loved cheering on Purdue University’s football and basketball teams over the years. (Go Boilermakers!)
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Christ the King Catholic Church or Bishop Chatard High School.
A visitation for Joe will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a Rosary at 7:30, at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 E. 71st Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5884 Crittenden Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220.
Joe will be laid to rest in Our Lady Of Peace Cemetery, 9001 Haverstick Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240.
