Joseph "Joe" Paul Heck, age 71, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024. He was born on July 20, 1953 to Paul and Ruth (York) Heck. Joe graduated from Cathedral High school in 1971. After high school, he entered the food industry as a food service manager. He then went on to have a lasting career as a truck driver and instructor with Schneider National, where he retired.
Joe had a love of automobile racing, playing card games with friends and all sports including the Indianapolis Colts.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, Joseph (Megan) Heck; grandchildren, Josie and Owen Heck; siblings, Stephen Heck and Daniel (Nancy) Heck; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will take place on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 10am to 12pm at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 N. Shadeland Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46219.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 550 North Rural Street, Indianapolis, IN 46201.
