

Joseph Robert Lesch 51, of Indianapolis passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 18th. Joe was born in Livingston, New Jersey on March 13, 1960 to William and Joan (Meyers) Lesch.
Joe enjoyed a variety of activities but his love for music was consummate. He listened to it at home, in the car, at the library and while attending concerts and choir practices. He particularly enjoyed attending weddings and parties, even more so when music was included.
Joe loved spending the summers with his family at their cottage on Lake Wawasee. He enjoyed riding the shuttle at the Indiana State Fair every year, hanging out with the guys at Pike Township Fire Department Station 12 and volunteering at Eagle Creek Park. He attended Washington Township Schools Hilltop Learning Center and spent more than 30 years at Noble of Indiana. He will miss his friends, teachers and administrators.
Joe was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and brother, Michael. He is survived by his parents and brothers and sisters, William J. (Connie), Timothy (Ellen), John (Betsy), Anne, James (Teresa), Kathryn (Hildred), Tom (Debbie) and Tammy Moran. He was beloved by his 15 nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will take place from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 7200 Sarto Drive, on Thursday, February 23 and again at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 24th. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 followed by the burial at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made in Joe’s name to Noble of Indiana or St. Pius X Catholic Church. Service entrusted to Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary and memorial tribute may be offered at www.feeneyhornakkeystone.com.
