Age 76, passed away May 18, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mearl and Edith McVay, 5 sisters, and 1 brother.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29, years, Cindy (Shepardson), 4 children Patricia (David) Taylor, Joseph (Dee) McVay II, Brandi (Tim) Gentry, and Samantha McVay; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Joe was a landscaper for Maschmeyer’s Nursery for 46 years. He served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion Speedway Post #500.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 2:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Rd.
