Judith Ann Cline Deng

Judith Cline Deng passed away August 7, 2025 in Indianapolis, IN at the age of 85. Judi was born in LaCrosse, WI to Edgar Allen Cline and Audrey Knox Cline; both are predeceased. Judi had three siblings, Peter Knox Cline and Kathleen Cline, both of whom are predeceased, and Stephen Cline. She attended Stephens College in Columbia, MO, where she received her associate’s degree, and The University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she received her B.A. in French. She met Peter Deng at the UW-Madison, and they moved to Stamford CT, where they raised three children: Tania Deng, Brian Deng (Jenny Wong), and Stephen Deng. She worked for Wahlstrom & Co for many years, in Stamford and in Chicago, before her retirement in 2000. She moved to Indianapolis after retirement and spent years traveling throughout Europe and China. In addition to her children and brother, Judi is survived by four grandchildren, Alexandra Deng (Zoltan Urge), Emily Deng, Michael Deng, and Geoffrey Deng. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of St. Vincent’s Hospital and Independence Villages West for their diligent and dedicated care.

There will be no service at this time, and her remains will be laid to rest in LaCrosse, WI with her parents and siblings. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
