June Ann Courtney

June Ann Courtney (Dominy), age 78, of Carmel, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. June was born June 26, 1945 in Kendallville, Indiana to Archie and Florence Dominy. She graduated High School at South Side in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After high school, June enlisted in the Women's Army Corps (WAC). She trained at Fort Ben in Indianapolis where she met her husband, Clyde Courtney. June and Clyde were stationed in Washington D.C. with June at the Pentagon until they got married at Arlington National Cemetery. They then moved to Chicago where June worked at Prudential until shortly after her son was born. She then became a dedicated Mother and Homemaker. June is survived by her son, Ken (Cathy) Courtney of Nashville, TN; two granddaughters, Katelin and Holly both of Nashville, TN; sister, Nancy Downing from Prebble, IN; and brother, Larry Dominy in Jacksonville FL. June was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Courtney; and her parents, Archie and Florence Dominy. A funeral service for June will be held Monday, March 11, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Feeney Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 E. 71st Street, Indianapolis, IN 46220. Public viewing is available 30 minutes prior to the service. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 2:30 PM at Carmel Cemetery, 908 Rangeline Road, Carmel, IN 46032.
