

God in His infinite wisdom has touched and called from this life another one of His children. Keith Lamont Long Sr., departed from this life on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Keith, the son of the late Joseph and Adaleen Long was born April 3, 1947 in Terre Haute, IN. He was the seventh child of eleven siblings; six preceded him in death, Rudolph Long, Juanita Sutton, Clyde Long, Mayola Brown, Oscar Long and Violetta McGrone. Keith attended Booker T. Washington Elementary, Sarah Scott Jr. High, and graduated from Wiley High School.
Keith professed a hope in Christ at a very early age. He was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late, Pastor Morris Blade.
Keith was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1967. He was a combat veteran who was exposed to untold horrors of war. He received a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman's Medal, the Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/Palm, Two Overseas Bars, First Class Gunner Badge, and Two Sharpshooters Awards.
Keith took residence in Anaheim, CA after fifteen months of service in the Army. He was employed with Warner Lambert as a Quality Control Operator for more than twenty-five years. Upon its closing, he was employed with Amway (Nutralite) Company as a Press Operator until he became disabled.
Keith leaves to cherish his memory three sons; Courtney Long, Keith L. Long, Jr., and Shaun J. Long; three granddaughters, Mia A. Long, Ivette K. Long, and Ariyah A. Long; one brother, Joseph William Long, Jr. - Terre Haute; three sisters, Rosetta Moothery (Charles) - Terre Haute, IN, Linda Waldon (James) - Indianapolis, IN, and Roxie Rudy (Byron) - Indianapolis, IN and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, other relatives and friends.
