

57, of Indianapolis went to be with his Savior on February 6, 2017. Chris fought the good fight and then some but a cure on this earth was not meant to be. He was born February 12, 1959 in Beech Grove, Indiana to Russell L. and Bobby Jean (Deck) Johnson. He was a graduate of Scecina Memorial High School. He was a machinist for Empro Manufacturing. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Independent Order of Foresters. It was through Foresters that he met his wife of 29 years, Juanita Clark. To say Chris loved Star Trek was an understatement. He was passionate about his faith, the unborn, politics and stood in solidarity with Israel. Chris was proud he was born on Abraham Lincoln’s birthday and would have been proud that he died on Ronald Regan’s birthday. Chris is survived by his beloved wife Juanita Johnson, sister Cathy Honeycutt, brothers, Eric, Philip (Patty), Jamie (Kim), Sean, Andrew, Daniel Johnson and Jim (Karen) Burrows. Chris is also survived by his aunts and uncles, several nieces and nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Kevin Johnson. Funeral services will be Tuesday February 14, 2017 at 9:30 am at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Visitation will be Monday February 13, 2017 from 4 – 8 pm at the mortuary. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery. Memorials in Chris’ name may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic School.
