Leslie Renee McClung was born to parents Charles D. McCLung, Sr. and Hazel Lee Thrash as their youngest child. She was baptized at Mt. Carmel Baptist at a young age. She attended Green Briar Elementary in Indianapolis, Indiana, and graduated from North Central High School in 1980. She attended Indiana Central University and obtained her bachelors degree. She then obtained her Masters degree from Indiana University. She began her teaching career in the IPS school system. She then moved to Fort Wayne Community School Corporation and then Bailly Preparatory Academy, and finally Glen Park Academy located in Gary, Indiana. She loved her cats Shadow, Midnight, and Misty. She also loved reading and traveling with her family. She went home to her Lord on October 29, 2015 at the age of 53. She leaves behind by her Father, Charles D. McClung, Sr, sisters, Deirdre M. Roberts and Denise E. Allen and a brother, Charles D. McClung, Jr. who has preceded her in death. She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of beloved friends.
