Louis James Thomas, lovingly known as “Tee” to his family and friends from his early childhood onward, was born in the Mississippi Delta city of Belzoni on December 11, 1956. Tee moved to Indianapolis, Indiana in 1960 and was raised by his parents Richard and Mary Winn. He attended Arsenal Technical High School and worked at HP Chemicals for 15 years as a forklift truck operator.
Tee loved to bowl, watch science-fiction, and enjoyed horseback riding through his affiliation with the Black Rodeo. Tee was a quiet person, had a big heart and was a good father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 9, 2011. He married Diane Poston, whom he has known since the 5th grade, on November 3, 2012.
Tee is survived by his wife Diane and children Nika, Louis, Corey and Delilah plus 3 grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings Joe Jones, Jessie Abel, Carolyn Diggs, Lindell Winn, Deana Winn, Allen Winn, Anthony Winn, brother-in-law Arthur Winn and sister-in-law Michelle Winn. He will truly be missed.
