Lydia was born in Indiana, the daughter of the late Carl C. and Betty Irene Goodman.
Lydia wore many hats in her nearly 89 years, passing just three weeks shy of her July 8th birthday. From modeling for L. S. Ayres, book binding for H & H Bookbinders, to a 20 plus year tenure with United Artists, filling in wherever needed from ticket taker, to maintenance, to assistant manager. But, Lydia’s most beloved and successful role was Mom and homemaker.
Though means were modest, joy, laughter, and song were in abundance in her home. Evenings and weekends were filled with cooking, laundry, and other chores. Family board games, popcorn, movies, and singing filled the gaps. Lydia was the mom everybody wished they had. Her house was “that house’ where all the neighborhood kids came to play. She was and is cherished and loved and will be missed by many.
Lydia is survived by her children; Gilford Moses Bunch, Jr. (Sophia), Juanita Ruth Sprecher (Mark), Diane Joy Johnson, and William Thomas Bunch (Heather), siblings; Janis Raye, and Carl, Thomas, and Ed Goodman, 31 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband and children’s father; Gilford Moses Bunch, Sr. and her second husband, Robert Lloyd, children; Michael Craig Bunch, Shelia Luann Pease, Jerry Lee Bunch, Lisa Karen Earnest, and Roger Dale Bunch, siblings; Mary Deale, Barbara Ernst, and Arthur, Walt, Grover, and Ralph Goodman.
