Mable A Locke-Scott

Mable A. Locke-Scott, Age 62, passed away December 6, 2022, surrounded by loved ones at her home in Indianapolis Indiana. Mable was born on September 1, 1960, to the parents of Everett E. Powell and Thaddis J. Robinson who preceded her in death.

She was married to James Scott (who preceded her in death). Mable went by the nick name Angie. Angie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal lord and savior early in life. She served her church faithfully. She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School where she was active in choir, volleyball, and many other things.

Angie was creative and had several hobbies she enjoyed such as, sewing, crocheting, rescuing stray animals, gardening, skating and various activities. She also enjoyed traveling, shopping, playing cards, watching movies, dancing, bowling, baking, going out to eat, and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She volunteered at several different organizations over the years to give back to her community. One of the organizations she enjoyed volunteering at was Wheeler Missions especially during the holidays.

Angie established her own janitorial business in 1983 called Angie’s Cleaning Service.

Angie was a wonderful cook. She had a successful catering company where she provided services for weddings, parties, bar-mitzvah and many other events. Angie was a kind, loving, caring, generous soul, who will be truly missed by many.

She leaves to cherish precious memories: Stacey Locke, three children: Runako Locke, Ashley Locke, Angela Scott; five grand-children: Taje Harper, De’Wayne Harper, Darius Daniels ll, Demetrianna Erwin, Illianna Erwin; six sisters: Effie Marable, Patsy Skelton (Ronald), Nicolle Davis, Evett Hester, Mary Powell(Max), Evelyn Powell, Temple Robinson (who proceeded her in death); three brothers: Everett Powell ll, Romney Chapel (Anita), Carlos Thrasher Sr (Jacquelyn); Godmother, Corrine Hawkins (Fred Hawkins who proceeded her in death) and the rest of the Hawkins family; a host of other relatives and friends.
