

MAIZIE RUTH (LOVE) CAMPBELL, 1929-2016
Our dear loving, devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away early Friday morning the 22nd of January. Maizie was born August 16, 1929 in Augusta, Indiana to the late Arthur and Inez (Allen) Love. She was married to James Godwin Campbell, August 5, 1949 in Indianapolis.
A 1947 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School Indianapolis, and member of the Tech Legion honor society, she worked for the State of Indiana, State Athletic Commission and Department of Public Welfare. She belonged to the Gamma Nu Service Sorority and served in 1984 as the State President. She was also active in Girl Scouts, Eastern Star, and Job’s Daughters.
Maizie is survived by her husband James, daughters Catherine "Cathy" Campbell Shiner, and Scott of Denmark Wisconsin, Bonita "Bonnie" Novak, and Allan of Vestal, New York, Deborah "Debbie" Gardner, and Mark Gardner of Batesville, Indiana, Ruth and Patrick King of Indianapolis, Indiana, brother: Arthur Love, and Judy of Macungie, Pennsylvania, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday January 27, at the Feeny-Hornak Keystone Mortuary, 2126 E. 71st Street, Indianapolis, IN. Viewing at 11:00 AM with her service at 1:00 PM.
