Marilyn Abraham Hunter

Marilyn Abraham Hunter, 76, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. Marilyn was born in Indianapolis on October 30, 1944 to the late Lillian (Stewart) Overman and Norval Abraham. Marilyn attended Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, where she studied Theology. She later worked for RCA Records as an accountant, there she met Bob. In 1976, she and Bob married and have spent the last 45 years together. Marilyn retired after 25 years, and was able to focus more of her time on her devotion to the Lord. She was a long time active member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Marilyn was a facilitator for RCIA, which was a program that initiated more members into the church. Marilyn was known to be a cat lover, though she treated her four feline friends just like they were her own children. When she wasn't taking care of her cats or her flowerbeds, Marilyn was spending time with her family. She absolutely adored her nieces and nephews. Marilyn is survived by her husband; Robert "Bob" Hunter, her nieces; Cindy (Bob) and Heather, her nephews; Benjamin and Logan, her great nieces; Rachel and Raneigh, and her great nephew; Jason. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her siblings; Idamae Frick and Harold Abraham, and her great nephew; Nicholas Hieston. A visitation for Marilyn will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at St Matthew Catholic Church, 4100 E 56th St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220, followed by a mass of christian burial at 11:00 AM. Marilyn will be laid to rest at Our Lady Of Peace Cemetery, 9001 Haverstick Rd., Indianapolis, Indiana 46240. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marilyn's memory may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church, 4100 E 56th St, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220 US.
