Mary Ann Boone

In loving memory of Mary Ann Boone Mary Ann Boone, 87, of Indianapolis went to be with Our Lord on December 17, 2020. She was born September 5, 1933 to Clarence and Teresa Riley in Indianapolis, IN and had one brother, James Riley. On September 20, 1958, she was married to G. Daniel Boone at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Mary Ann graduated from St. Agnes Academy in 1951 and went on to work for a variety of companies including Jefferson National Insurance, Indiana National Bank, AIM Insurance, and John XXIII Retreat Center. She spent many hours volunteering with various ministries and committees at Holy Cross including parish council and was also prayer line coordinator. She found her time preparing and distributing food baskets to be especially rewarding. In addition to Holy Cross, she was a former member of St. Matthew, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Holy Spirit. Mary Ann spent many wonderful days and nights at CPLS near Muncie, IN with family and friends around the campfire. Chicago Cubs, IU Basketball, Notre Dame Football, and NASCAR - Mary Ann loved her sports! She had an eclectic taste in music, enjoyed traveling coast to coast, looked forward to a spirited game of euchre, and cherished time with her family. Preceded in death by Teresa (Moorman) and Clarence Riley, James Riley, G. Daniel Boone, and Beth Ann Buech. Survived and lovingly remembered by her children: Steve (Marie) Boone, Kai Buech, Mark (Cathy) Boone, David (Kathy) Boone, Cheryl (John) Plunkett, John (Lori) Boone, Mary Pat Holtgrave, Connie (Greg) Hathaway. Grandchildren: Michelle (Chris) Maddox, Stephen Boone, Christopher Boone, Zachary Buech, Lina Buech, Jessica (Kevin) Wood, Jennifer Boone, Teresa (Mike) Bunton, Mindy Boone, Georgia Coronado, David Jr (Kristina) Boone, Abby Boone, Emily Plunkett, Ben Plunkett, Hannah Plunkett, Morgan Boone, Jason Boone, Carson Holtgrave, Courtney Hathaway, Annie Hathaway, Luke Hathaway. Great Grandchildren: Steven Maddox-Batz (Halie), Abigail Maddox, Jason Maddox, Hayden Boone, Seth Wood, Stella Wood, Ethan Collis, Mia Boone, Jacob Bunton, Joey Anderson, Jayla Coronado, Alexandria Coronado, Thatcher Hathaway. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to Society of St. Vincent’s de Paul – Indianapolis. Private family arrangements have been entrusted to Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 10:30 am. Join us live streamed on the St. Pius X Facebook page. Due to COVID-19, we are planning a Celebration of Life when we can celebrate safely, date to be determined.
