Passed away on July 16, 013 at Community Howard Regional Hospital.
Mary Alice Hankins was born on August 30, 1933 the daughter of Hamlin McDade and Minnie Williams McDade in Montgomery, Alabama. She was a domestic engineer at Community Howard Regional Hospital for 49 years, where she was loved and respected. She was an avid gardener and loved fishing.
Her parents, three brothers, Hamlin, Jr., Louis, and David McDade, 2 sisters, Jule McDade and Shirley Patterson preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Essie Delouis Bennett of Kokomo, Indiana, brothers, William McDade of Montgomery, Alabama, 4 grandchildren, Bryant Angelini, Dionysos Bennett, Naomi Jones (Trever), Kim McDade and 5 great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, 12 Noon at Grace Memorial Church of God In Christ. Pastor Milton Hall, Jr. will be the officiant & eulogist. Friends may call on Tuesday from 11 A.M. at the church. Entombment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to Bluitt & Son Funeral Home.
