After moving from Tennessee in 1938, she accepted Christ at an early age with her mother and united with Jones Tabernacle A.M.E. Zion Church.
Mary received her education in Indianapolis Public Schools System and graduated from Crispus Attucks High- School. In 1957, she married Samuel Kendrick and in that union, she had 5 children.
Mary Began working for Methodist Hospital in 1963 she retired after 40 years of employment in 2003, and after her retirement, she began working on a significant amount of hobbies. Such as wood carving, leather keychains, and candles to name a few.
Mary Dell Kendrick departed this life on March 24, 2023, at the age of 85.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Ella Marie Neal and Alonzo Gardner, her brother Thomas Edward and her son Derrick Anthony.
She leaves to cherish her memory to her children: Jeri Marie, Samuel Clinton, Sharon Ann (William Turner), and Pamela Faye (Pastor Ronnie Evans); grandchildren: Michael Terelle, Nichelle Rene “Nikki”, Kelli Rene and Kristen Michele, and 6 great-grandchildren.
