May L Curtis

May L. Curtis, 90, of Indianapolis, went to be with our Lord January 5, 2016. Born March 10, 1925, she was the 2nd oldest of 11 children. Her greatest joy in life was her family. Retired from the Warren Twn Transp Dept., her pastimes included reading, bowling, weekly card parties, and dinners with her brothers and sister. May was actively involved with her church, a dedicated Christian lady who demonstrated daily God's Love and compassion for others. She was always putting everyone first, often denying herself of necessities, if it meant she could lend a helping hand. Starting early in life she was a caregiver, always mothering and befriending anyone in need. Preceded in death by husband Jerrell Curtis, daughter Pammie Sue Curtis, son James J. Curtis, and 5 brothers. Survived by daughters Rita (Roger) Oertel, Debra (Sam) Belgin, Cheryl Evans, sister Joy Helms, brothers Elmer Hensley and William Hobbs, 10 grandchildren, numerous g-grandchildren and gg-grandchildren. God needed another loving Mother in Heaven, so He sent His angels for you Mom. We have been blessed for so many years with your Love and compassion and knowing that someday soon, we will feel your embrace again, gives us comfort. XOXO until then, "We Love You".
