

Michael "Mike" J. Boyle, 87, passed away peacefully on November 28th surrounded by his family and friends. Mike was born in Indianapolis, the son of Irish American immigrants, and attended Little Flower grade school, Cathedral High School and Marian College. He was the first accounting graduate of Marian that was hired by Ford Motor on the college graduate program and over 30 years later he retired from Ford as the Accounting Supervisor, North American Automotive Operations in Dearborn Michigan.
Mike was a member of St. Simon Council, a 4th Degree member of the Father Kelly Assembly Knights of Columbus and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He was a 2019 outstanding Alumni Honorees of Little Flower Catholic School. Mike led a life of service by volunteering to prepare taxes for individuals through the Sarasota Library, working in soup kitchens in Detroit, Michigan; Sarasota, Florida; and Indianapolis, Indiana; and was an early contributor to the Warren Performing Arts center at Warren Township High School in Indianapolis. He volunteered at the Fatima Retreat House, St. Vincent DePaul, Holy Spirit Festival and fundraising at Marian College/University. Mike also served two (2) years in the Army, receiving an honorable discharge in 1963.
He enjoyed watching and playing golf, cheering on his beloved Colts, hanging out with his friends at McDonalds and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Mike's family would like to extend their appreciation to ALL the staff at Westminster Village Nursing Home and to Ms. Annalisa, RN from Paradigm Health Hospice Services for their love and care in attending to Mike during his final weeks.
Preceded in death his parents Michael Boyle and Catherine (Gilday) Boyle, his brothers Joseph (Joe) and James (Jim) Boyle, wives Mary Ellen (Macy) Boyle and Jan (Roth) Boyle; and son-in-law Paul James (PJ) Kervan. He is survived by six children: Catherine Kervan, Eileen (Ron) Fisher, M.T. Boyle, Mike (Becky) Boyle, Marylou Gasiorowski and Sandra (Chris) Theut; 15grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way.
A visitation for Mike will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Feeney Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 N. Shadeland Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46219. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Little Flower Catholic Church, 4720 E. 13th St. Indianapolis, IN 46201. Mike will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cathedral High School, designated for tuition assistance to benefit a child from the East Deanery attending Cathedral High School.
