Where do I start? It started with fishing some 30 years ago.  As I am an avid fisher now thanks to Mike. My daughter, Jourdan (the girly girl) was about 2 years old. He taught her how to fish, hunt, shoot a gun, and clean the kill. Then came Jazmine (Jazmalina) (the Tom boy) about 2 years later and he taught her the same things. I remember Unkle (Mike) built a full 2 story Barbie house with running electricity in it. The girls were so happy that year when they went for summer vacation  to visit Unkle. He would even be the Ken Barbie doll and play Barbie’s with them. Every summer they were so excited to go to Indiana to visit their Unkle and their Ockie. As they grew to young ladies in life they would periodically go for their visit. My son Jeff, he taught him the same things as the girls, but the man’s side of it. I’m gonna miss the weird strange texts and phone calls, not to mention the crazy stories he told us all. Love you Unkle, until we meet again. My momma and daddy are waiting for you. Rest in peace Unkle.

If you don’t recognize me, I’m the guy on the right. I’m Jackie’s Dad. Sorta, kinda, for the day. And proud to be there.

I’m so sorry for your loss. You are one of the best people I know. I’m very proud of you.

Mike and Jackie and Mama Rose and me and LaDonna once took a trip to Kim’s house and back to Indianapolis in the same minivan. We laughed and told stories and jokes for the entire trip from Detroit. It was one of the best times telling jokes between two people that I’ve ever had. Of course 7 hours later no one else was laughing anymore except for me and Mike. Rose said these two guys about 400 times and harrumphed a lot. I miss Mama Rose a lot too. She was the best. LaDonna was holding her head saying “Make it stop, make it stop”, and Jackie , well nothing compares to my Jackie. Imagine her tapping her forehead against the side window going “No no no no no “. We had the best time. It was a hoot. 7 hours of non stop laughter between me and Mike making everyone else insane. It was great. I’m gonna miss your laughter Mike. Godspeed my friend.

This is a good one here. This is the morning after one of Greg‘s summer parties. I think this is the night. He went into the pool and he had to wear Cathy‘s clothes home. I was so embarrassed for him! because of the way he looked the people in the liquor store wouldn’t sell him anything… 😂 😝

Mike and Arletta, he sure did love that dog and she loved him right back. He couldn’t go anywhere without her being right up his butt.

Going to miss your humor and jokes! You were so much fun to be around. Your laughter and everything about you made me like you and love you so much. I’m going to miss you, brother Mike rest in peace. Love you always. Sonia.

You were always my favorite brother in law, I’m sure going to miss the funny videos that you would text me, I’m glad I saved them all. So many good memories from our visits to Indiana, I always loved listening to your stories!! I wish we didn’t live so far away!! 
You fought hard for so long but I know you’re  not in pain anymore. Now you’re safe in the arms of the Lord. Me and Stevie love you brother Mike!! Rest easy until we all meet again. You will never be forgotten 💔

One of my favorite memories is when Uncle Mike and I went to a museum together. He was so knowledgeable at that museum that he could’ve worked there. He made it a great experience.   Another memory I’ll always remember is when I “fixed” his truck. We were driving along when his truck stalled. He popped the hood and couldn’t figure out why it had stalled. I noticed the air intake hose wasn’t connected, so I pointed that out. He didn’t believe that was the problem but I asked him to just reconnect it anyway. He reconnected it and the truck started! He was surprised it worked. From that moment on, he always bragged about the time I “fixed” his truck. Of course, I didn’t actually fix anything, but that was the kind of person he was, always made you feel special. I loved listening to his many stories. I’ll miss the many conversations we had about various things; he loved to give advice. This picture was taken at my cousin Jeff’s wedding. I love you, Uncle Mike, may you rest in peace.
