Michael E Mccarthy

79, of Indianapolis, entered into rest on December 16, 2011. He was born October 28, 1932 in Indianapolis to Michael E. and Mary Elizabeth (Connor) McCarthy. Mike was a graduate of Cathedral High School and attended Indiana University. He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Air Force. He owned and operated MISCO Inc. dba Michael Inventory Service for 25 years. Mike was preceded in death by his daughters, Kathleen and Maureen McCarthy. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Barbara (Springman) McCarthy; children, Mike (Michelle) McCarthy III, Tim (Letsy) McCarthy, Bridget (Ken) Duckett and Danny (Shelley) McCarthy; brother, David (Rita) McCarthy; sister, Mary Ann (Russell) Fuerer; seven grandsons and five granddaughters. Funeral services for Mike will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 20, in Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 3 - 8 p.m., Monday, December 19, in the mortuary. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
