

Mildred Laderson 82, of Indianapolis, died Tuesday, May 2, 2012. She was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi in September 1929 to the late Willie (Prince) Plump.
Mildred had a loving relationship with her parents and her siblings. She was the youngest of five children. From a young age she showed her caring soul by being a presence of joy and compassion for her neighbors and friends during the depression.
Singing was a passion for her from a young age going from church to church entertaining with the joy of voice as a soloist. She loved to dance and was adored by the many people able to see her gift of voice and dance from a young age.
Mildred continued to support her neighbors and friends with compassion and the same caring soul. Her love of music and dance continued as well, which included attending and performing in plays.
Mildred married Mose Laderson and enjoyed over 50 years of marriage as a devoted wife before he passed in 2000. She was the first lady of Hillside Christian Church, remained active in Children's Ministries, Children's Choir, served as Deaconess of the church, and was a choir member for many years.
She was a great cook, and was known by her friends and family as a woman that could really burn and could seriously "Throw Down" in the kitchen. Cooking was her gift and she left her print on the community, her coworkers, and many family members and friends with her creations. She left her imprint on her community by being a loyal and trustworthy person. Her many friends at work knew her as a committed coworker for 30+ years of service at Eli Lilly before retiring.
Mildred is left to cherish her memory by her four children, Willa Singleton, Mose Laderson, Jr., Joseph Laderson (wife-Quaintance) and Renita Laderson; grandchildren, Kelley E. Singleton (wife-Kathleen), Constance Laderson, Fatima Smith (husband - Randy), Queela Tadoum (husband - Jean Jacques), Joseph Laderson, Jr., Daniel Laderson, Buffy Singleton, Angela Hubbard and JoAnna Laderson; great-grandchildren, Brent, Jerry, Terry, Rashida, Antonia, Kyra, Marcus, Nijah, Randy, Jr., Joshua, Nevaeha, Serenity, Joseph, Jeriah, Mark and Aiden; great-great-granchild, Rashaad.
