Charlie N. Bellamy was born November 30, 1920 in Russellville, Kentucky to Noah Bellamy and Beatta Brown. He was the oldest of seven siblings- Cleever, Roscoe, Jessie, Noah, and Nelson. Ms. Birdie Bellamy is his one surviving sister.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and after moving to Indianapolis married his wife of nearly 50 years, Edna E. Bellamy. Charlie retired from Bryant Heating and Cooling in 1982. He was also a faithful member of McClendon Tabernacle C.M.E. Church.
Charlie N. Bellamy departed this earthly life on April 27, 2010 at the age of 89 years, 4 months, 27 days. He leaves to cherish his memory, a beloved wife, Edna Bellamy, daughter Donna M. Bellamy, step-son Charles F. Smith, sister Birdie Bellamy, two grandchildren- Wendell and April Smith, daughter-in-law, Yvonne Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
