78, Indianapolis, was born November 26, 1933 in Elgin (Scott County), Tennessee. He departed this life on June 14, 2012. Earnest was a Sargeant 1st Class in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Upon his return, he worked for International Harvester. He then went on to practice as a self-employed carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Earnest Bowling; daughter, Felicia Bowling; parents, Robert and Trannie Smith Bowling; sisters, Bessie Welch, Reba Foster, Artie Bowling; and 4 brothers, Arlie, Archie, Floyd, and Lloyd Bowling.
He leaves to cherish his memory his remaining children, Angela Warren (Randy), Christopher Bowling, Tabitha Ebersole (Brian); grandchildren, Megan, Bryan, Dustin and Jacob Bowling, and Drew, Jessica, and Kylie Ebersole; and a host of other extended relatives and friends.
