James "Jim" William Cotter Jr., 88 died Feb 8, 2014 at American Village Retirement Community, where he had received excellent care, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Ellen (Houlihan) and devoted father of Steve, Jim (Angie), Jenny (Tracy), Shannon (Tim) and Paul (Susie). He was a World War II Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Sr. and Anne (Flynn), his sister Dorothy Watson, and his infant daughter Susan.
He was born in Newark N.J. on Aug. 19, 1925 and raised in R.I. He moved to Indianapolis, newly married, in 1961 where he worked for Owens Corning Fiberglas. He was madly in love with his grandchildren Jake, Casey, Jack, Olivia, Katie, Max, Henry, George, Sam, Charlie and Aggie and they will miss him dearly.
