

Marion Tyrone Hansbrough, III passed on Friday, July 14th after a long illness at 58 years old.
Marion was born October 17, 1958 Indianapolis, IN to Marion Hansbrough II and Elnora McGee Hansbrough. His parents have preceded him in death as well as his step-sister Caron Johnson and grandparents Ellis and Louise McGee and Marion Hansbrough I and Lula Hansbrough Miles.
Marion had a career over 38 years as an operator and inspector. He worked at Indiana Gear Works, Reeder and Kline, Dependable Machine and Tool, and ended his 25-year career in July 2015 at Ingredion (formerly National Starch and Chemical).
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Jeanne Marie Hansbrough and their two daughters Joy Smith (Wallace) and Diana Hansbrough Martin, as well as two uncles John McGee (Mildred), Rev. James C. Williamson and two aunts Ruth Oliver, and Mary Ease Beasley, niece Sharron Denning (Jerry), nephews Eric Johnson (Jennifer) and Donald Hansbrough, his mother-in-law Mary Cowan (John), father-in-law John Young (Vickie), two brothers in-laws Darrell Fry and Bronson Young and sister-in-law Angie Young, God-grandsons who he spent almost every weekend with – Riley and Xavier Robinson; and three other god-grandchildren – Eric, D’Ereka, and Cedric who reside in GA and many other family and friends.
The family wishes to acknowledge the many prayers, cards, thoughts, and well-wishes during Marion’s battle with Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). He was a real trooper beating Lymphoma cancer that started in 2001 and falling out of remission with MDS in March 2015 and AML in May of 2017. The family also wishes to thank the members of Indiana Cancer Center East of Indianapolis who took excellent care of Marion during his illness. They also want to thank the IU Hospice team who took care of him the last week of his life.
Charity donations may be given in Marion’s memory to Be The Match or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 19 from 4-8pm at Williams and Bluitt Funeral Home, 5252 E. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 20 at Nazarene Baptist Church, 3505 E. 38th Street at 12noon with a viewing from 11-12. Williams and Bluitt officiating the services. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery.
