Mr. Michael A. Woodruff, 52, Indianapolis, transitioned from labor to reward on the morning of August 12, 2016. "Woody" grew up in St. Rita Catholic Church. Michael was a Special Education Instructor at Arlington High School. He was a Master Prince Hall Mason, involved with the PAL Club, Boy's & Girls Club had been a football coach at Arlington High School, Douglas Little League and Douglas Youth Golf. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Denetia Woodruff; mothers, Charlotte Hazelwood and Anita Woodruff; children: Natoya Woodruff, Darnyl Suttle, Devin Nance, Michael A. Woodruff, Jr., and Quincy Woodruff; siblings: Derrick L. Woodruff (Lisa), Michelle Y. Woodruff, Lynn Rowland and DeAnna Woodruff; 3 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, oodles of cousins, and great friends. His first visitation is Friday, August 19, 2016, 4pm - 8pm at Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home, Peoples Chapel. The second visitation is Saturday, August 20, 2016, 9am - 11am, with the Homegoing Celebration at 11am at Arlington High School, Dr. Jacqueline Greenwood Auditorium. Please enter through doors 3 & 4 only. The interment is in Crown Hill Cemetery.
