Frederick Perkins, 80, passed away February 8, 2010. He was born October 3, 1929, in Indianapolis. He worked more than 30 years as a material classifier at Fort Benjamin Harrison, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Johnson Perkins; son, Victor Perkins (Girtha); daughter, Janice Richardson; and grand-daughter, LaNelle Perkins. Other survivors include three sisters, Marian Franklin, Bettye Finney (Richard), and Jacqueline Starks (Floyd). Services will be held on Friday, February 12, at Mt. Zion Apostolic Church, 4900 E. 38th Street, with calling at 11 a.m. and services at 1 p.m.
