Robert T. Stockard, age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 16, 2017, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born January 29, 1940 in Alton, Illinois, to John and Girtha (Smith ) Stockard. He was a 1958 graduate of Alton Senior High School. Robert received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Southern Illinois University and Education Specialist from Butler University. He married Christle Foster on April 2, 1967, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He worked as Administrator with Indianapolis Public High School from 1963 to 2014. Robert was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Indianapolis Alumni Chapter, He is survived by his wife, Christle, a Daughter, Gina, Grandson, Adrian Johnson Jr. “Robbie”, Sister, Annette (Robert), Brother, Glenn, (Delphine), Sister Celina, Sister Bernadette, Brother Darryl, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brother’s Randolph, James, Vernon, and sister’s La Vada, Sonia Hill (Robert).
