
He attended Indianapolis Public Schools #41 and #56, and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1966 where his major subjects included: Wood Shop, Machine Shop, Pattern Making, Cabinet Making, Sheet Metal, Math, Mechanical Drawing, and Art. He also took courses such as, Automotive and Diesel, Automotive Services, and Service Management at Lincoln Technical Institute.
Morris professed a hope in Jesus Christ at an early age. In November 2001, he rededicated his life to Christ and united with New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church. In December 2001, he was baptized by Rev. Simpson Elliott.
After high school, Morris served in the U.S. Army as a Specialist E4 in Stuttgart, Germany. He worked as a truck-shoveler, crane operator, Quartermaster warehouse technician, and military police. He was honorably discharged in July 1968.
When Morris returned to civilian life, he held several positions: 2 years at RCA as a fork lift and squeeze operator; 2 years at American Hoist & Derrick as an erector, stock handler and electrician helper; 15 years at Whitco Richardson Company as a press operator and stock handler; and 5 years at Burke Company as a rehab technician. He also did contract work for H&G Construction, owned and operated by his late cousin, Harold Guynn.
For Morris, art was his first love. He was an accomplished artist and produced many beautiful oil paintings over the years. He loved to draw buildings, animals, and scenic landscapes and would spend months perfecting his crafts. He enjoyed listening to R&B and Jazz music, cooking �"soul food,†reading his Ebony and Jet magazines, watching movies, especially old westerns, piecing puzzles together, building and collecting model cars, and repairing cars. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and hanging out with his cousins and best friend, Jason Jackson.

Morris was preceded in death by brother Robert Lee Wade, Jr.; stepfather, James Hardy, Jr.; son-in-law, Derrick Crittenden; several aunts, uncles and cousins who are all fondly missed; and his favorite canine companion, Tuscant.
Morris departed this life on Monday, February 2, 2015 at the age of 68 years and 10 days. He leaves to cherish his memory: daughter, Devon René Wade; nephews, Robert L. Wade, III (Tracye), Danny Wade, and Jimmy Wade; niece, Kim Jones (Craig); cousins Betty Guynn (Harold), Mary Northington, Reginald Beckwith, Herman Fant, Jr., Loretta Elliott (Simpson), and Terone Beckwith; special friend, Anita Minor; and a host of other relatives and friends.
