Neil Raymond Hollenbaugh, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018. He was born July 11, 1936 in Indianapolis to the late James Harold Hollenbaugh, Sr. and Mary Maude LeaMasters Hollenbaugh. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. He was a US Marine and a member of Teamsters Union Local 135. Neil enjoyed history, especially of Lincoln and Kennedy and had to have his daily paper to do the crossword puzzles. He also enjoyed high school football, especially Ben Davis and was known as the Ben Davis Taxi when he would drive his son and teammates around.
He is survived by his companion, Gloria Hollenbaugh; children, Mary Reed, Marsheila Rodriguez (Lonzo), Paula Walsh (Terry), Julie Hollenbaugh, and Anton Hollenbaugh (Larrissa Short); siblings, Rose Melton, Jane Kuroiwa, Judy Guant, and PD Hollenbaugh; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4 pm to 8 pm Monday, September 24, 2018 at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46224. His Funeral Service will be 10 am Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the funeral home with burial and military honors to follow at New Crown Cemetery in Indianapolis.
