

Pamela (Pam) Elizabeth Stitts was born Pamela Elizabeth Johnson in Tutwiler, MS on Wednesday April 14, 1954 to Charlie Johnson Jr. and Oliva Patterson (Walls). When her family migrated up north, she would be eventually settle in Indianapolis, IN. She attended Washington High school and was very active participating in cheerblock (cheerleader), Y-Teens, Junior Achievement to name a few. She relocated to Memphis, Tennessee in 1971. While in Tennessee she joined Church of God In Christ.
She was a dedicated and faithful lifelong member of the organization, holding many positions over the years including. choir president, usher board president, YCWW president, member of the mother’s board and missionary evangelist . She would finish serving at 28th Street Church of God in Christ.
Pam receiveda Bachelor’s of Science in Counseling Psychology from Martin University in 1994. She worked as a social worker and a case worker for various companies including Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA), Wishard Memorial Hospital, Midtown, Indianapolis Public Schools and Marion County Office Family and Children . She then went on to be the leasing manager at Crestwood Village North before retiring to take care of her father. Walking in Christ, Pam applied His values to her life. She was seen as a humble, pleasurable, loving, kind, giving and virtuous woman of God. She would check on you, pray for and with you, listen to you and love on you when you needed it the most.
Her ascension to the Kingdom reunites her with those who preceded her in death: her parents, Olivia Walls and Charlie Johnson Jr., brothers Willie Clarence Jones and David Walls, as well as other family members and friends. She has her crown and a new body free of earthly ailments.
Her spirit, drive, memories and legacy live on through her family, children Diahann Johnson, Valteresa Stitts of Aurora, Illinois and Jonathan Stitts of Evansville, Indiana; grandchildren Kayla Johnson, Kelsa Johnson, Keisha James, Cameron Woodruff, Bobbi K. Shane, Kayden Shane, Kaylen Shane, Kalea Stitts and Jonathan Stitts Jr; great granddaughter, Kimora James; siblings, Pauline Gerodon (Joe) of Detroit, Michigan, Sharon Walls of St. Louis, Missouri, Barbara Walls of Detroit, Michigan, Carol Walls-White of St. Louis, Missouri and Kevin Walls of St. Louis, Missouri, and countless family members and friends.
