73, of Indianapolis, departed this life on Friday, August 18, 2023. Pat was born on December 17, 1949 in Indianapolis to the late Ormel and Bernadette (Mooney) Chesebrough. He grew up and attended schools here and was honored to be in the first graduating class at Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School. Pat then attended John Carroll University before transferring and earning his degree in History from Indiana University. While at IU, Pat would meet his future wife, Laura Elizondo.
Pat was a kind and gentle soul who always put his faith and family first. He loved working as a realtor for ReMax. He cherished hosting family and friends at his lake house on Wawasee. He was an accomplished golfer and had recorded two hole-in-ones, and rarely passed on an opportunity to play a round of golf. Pat was a longtime and dedicated member of Christ the King Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. Pat also coached CYO for many years and loved every moment of it. He was happiest though making meaningful memories with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his brother, Fr. Charlie Chesebrough.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Laura; his devoted children, Sean (Jillian) Chesebrough, K.C. (Ted) Hebreard, Pat “Bubba” (Sarah) Chesebrough and Courtney (Eric) Whistler; loving brother, Mike (Nelda) Chesebrough; ten grateful grandchildren; several dear nieces and nephews and a host of old friends and colleagues.
Visitation for Pat will be from 4 – 7 pm on Wednesday, August 23rd at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary. Additional visitation will begin at 10:00am on Thursday, August 24th at Christ the King Catholic Church followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Cremation follows.
A final thought from Pat: “Remember, you only walk down the fairway of life once. Make the most of it and don’t forget to smell the roses along the way.”
Memorial contributions are suggested in Pat’s name to Christ the King Catholic Church, Bishop Chatard High School or to Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School.
