Phillip Raymond Babb

Phillip Raymond Babb, 70, of Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013. He was born March 10, 1943 in Indianapolis to the late Wilford Raymond and Laannah Sue (West) Babb. Phil graduated from Highland High School in 1961 and went to serve in the United States Navy and attended Naval Clerical School. He later attended Ball State University, Purdue University, ELBA – Life Insurance Marketing and Sales Management, and Life Underwriting Training Council. He married Karen Elaine Hawkins on June 15, 1968 in Martinsville, IN. Phil began his career with Prudential Insurance Company and was a purchasing agent/manager for 42 years, retiring from Horton Manufacturing in 2008. He was a member of Southland Community Church. Phil is survived by his loving wife, Karen Elaine Babb of Greenwood, IN; daughter, Michele Elaine Babb of Whiteland, IN; son, Brian Raymond Babb (wife, Shelly Babb) of Greenwood; grandsons, Isaac Raymond Babb and Jacob Daniel Babb of Greenwood; and sister, Judith Anne Smith (husband, Glenn Smith) of Anderson, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Carlton Babb. Visitation will be held Friday, March 29, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Little & Sons Funeral Home, 4901 E. Stop 11 Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46237. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. in Southland Community Church, 5800 W. Smith Valley Rd., Greenwood, IN 46142.
