

On Sunday morning, April 17, 2022, God sent his angel down to Indianapolis and gently took a beautiful soul, Phyllis Ann Collins Smith, up into his loving arms. God received her into his eternal care.
Mrs. Phyllis Anne Smith was born to the late Phillip and Elizabeth Collins, on September 19, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was educated in the Indianapolis Public Schools and then graduated from Crispus Attucks High School. She worked in the banking industry for more than 35 years for Indiana National, Bank One, and Chase Manhattan.
Phyllis enjoyed bowling, playing cards, watching cowboy movies, cruising, playing pool, traveling, The Young and the Restless, The Bold and Beautiful, TLC TV shows (90-day fiancé), Blue Monday, Round-Robin Tuesday, Get Ready Thursday, throwing parties for her family and friends; her Christmas parties were legendary!
She believed that time was everything, and there must be a plan with that time! Time to be born, time to die, time to cry, time to laugh, and time to grieve. She is preceded in death by her only son, Stephen G. Hollins, Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dan; Sister: Deborah Jean Collins; Children: Octavia (Lee) Rushin, Nakita (Todd) Liggins, and Dakita Shanks; Fifteen Grandchildren; Ten Great-Grandchildren; Nephews, Nieces, Cousins; dear friend, Doris Jordan; special relationships: Dewayne Hunt, Pamela Drain, Crystal Drain, Angela Denman and Kendal Hunt, and many devoted and cherished friends.
Memorial Service for Ms. Phyllis Ann Smith, will be held 12:00 pm, Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Williams and Bluitt Funeral Home Peoples' Chapel, 5252 E. 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, with the family present to receive family and friends from 11:00 am until time of service held at 12:00 pm, all taken place at Williams and Bluitt.
