
92, of Plainfield, IN, passed away June 21, 2017. He was born May 21, 1925 in Belfast, Northern Ireland to the late Rupert and
Alexandra Harding. He served in the British Royal Ulster Guard during WW II then the US Airforce during the Korean War. Raymond then worked for Bridgeport Brass, Philips Petroleum, formerly Philgas, for 20 years and National Starch for 22 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the First Christian Congregational United Church of Christ, Masonic Lodge, Shriners. He volunteered at Ronald McDonald House and Church missions. He is survived by his sister; Ruth Yarber, nieces; Patty Shannon Schavawn (Pat) Kennedy and Kerryaine (Bob) Yarber-Hiller, companion; Toba Cohen, nephew; Ray (Sherry) Shannon and numerous great nieces and nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters; Betty and Joan P. Shannon. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 24, at 5:00 pm in Family Funeral Care with visitation from 3:00 pm until time of services. In lieu of flowers contributions should be made to First Congregational United Church of Christ, Shriners Children Hospital or Ronald McDonald House.
