Rev. Lyndal Tipton, Sr.

Lyndal attended elementary school at IPS #37 and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1971. Lyndal met his beautiful sweet-heart of 45 years Zavia Townsel- Tipton at Arsenal Technical High School. The two were married December 8, 1973. Their beautiful union was blessed with three girls and three boys. They were blessed to be able to show the love they gave to their own children to other's. Rev. Tipton would often refer to his home as "The Tipton's house for Wayward kids". Mr and Mrs. Tipton open the doors of their home with love and care

Rev. Tipton accepted Christ as a young man, and soon after received his calling to the ministry. Rev. Tipton began his ministry under the leadership of Pastor David Lee Sr. of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He then left Zion Hill to help his friend Rev. Jeffrey Brown to start Greater Northeast Baptist Church. Later he decided to move his family to Berean Bible Church under the leadership of Pastor Charles Simmons Sr. He loved the ministry and fellowship at Berean Bible and that's where he remained until he became too ill to attend services.

Rev. Tipton studied at Crossroads Bible College where he was received his Associate's Degree in Divinity. He also received his Bachelor's in Theology from Andersonville Baptist seminar. Lyndal was a member of IBEW Local #481, and an electrical engineer at Ford Motor Company before retiring in 2011.

Reverend lyndal Jordan Tipton senior leaves to cherish his memory is loving wife Zavia Ann Tipton, two daughters Sha'Quia and Ashunda, Three Sons Lyndal Jr., Jovon and Micah. One granddaughter Mikayla McIntyre and 10 grandsons Joseph, Mar'Queses, Michael , Ma'Quiel, Erick, Micah Jr., Jayden Lyndal III, Lazarus, and JoVon Jr., one great grandson Kiree Zhon, and one great granddaughter Madison Elizabeth. One brother Kevin and three sisters Vickie, Tracie Ann and Stachia Modlin. Also a host of auntie's, uncle's, nieces, nephews, cousin's and friends.

Proceed him in death are his daughter Shyree Lynea, his mother and father, three of his brothers Terrance, Myron and Derek, also one sister Christie.
