

63, of Indianapolis, passed away September 20, 2012. He was born December 23, 1948 to Leon J. and June (Lawson) Cottongim. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. Bob was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 34 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, past president of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians – Kevin Barry Division, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and graduate of Tech High School. He also was a longtime Cathedral High School team “Chain Gang” volunteer and a founder of the Indianapolis Irish Fest. Bob is survived by his wife of 40 years: Margaret “Peggy” (Johantgen) Cottongim, sister: Debbie Marsh, brother: Frank D. Cottongim, niece: Drew Marsh and also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Steven and Daniel Cottongim and a nephew: David Marsh. Visitation will be Monday, September 24, from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Feeney-Hornak Keystone Mortuary 71st at Keystone. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 25, 9:30 am at the mortuary with a Mass of Christian burial 10:00 am in St. Pius X Catholic Church.
