Robert F. Jefferson was born on Mar 1, 1933, the son of Coby Jefferson Sr. and Willie Mae Strong Jefferson, in West Point Mississippi.“Pa-Pa” was the name his family and friends affectionately called him, along with other names such as Robert Floyd, and Bob. He received his elementary school education with the Indiana Public School system, and later joined the US Air Force. Robert worked at Farm Bureau for 35+ years of service.
On November 24, 1977, Robert was united in Holy Matrimony to Mary Mosley Jefferson. Robert and Mary enjoyed 29 years of marriage. He was a member of Seven Star Missionary Baptist Church.
Pa-Pa had a passion for watching wrestling, western movies, and one of his favorite shows, Walker Texas Ranger. He enjoyed the outside which included supervising and tending to the yard and garden. With his many talents and expertise of “let me show you something”, Pa-Pa would try to do it, but didn’t mind putting you to work if you were right there. Pa-Pa would sit in his chair observing the traffic going up and down the street. Pa-Pa had a quiet spirit, and didn’t mind giving you a peace of his mind. He would hold a conversation sometimes (depending on his mood) and enjoyed family and friends who stopped by.
